Hervey Bay RSL Community Grants

The Hervey Bay RSL Community Grants program is part of the RSL's ongoing commitment to our local community.
The program is designed to provide financial, in-kind, and fundraising opportunities to local not-for-profit organisations struggling to gain support. The program was developed to ensure the Club's annual community donations are spread more evenly amongst deserving local individuals and organisations who are doing great work within the community.
The RSL has donated over $6 million dollars over the past 10 years.

GUIDELINES FOR COMMUNITY GRANTS

  • All applicants can only apply ONCE in each financial year unless otherwise approved by the Donations Committee.
  • Applicants must be located on the Fraser Coast.
  • The money requested MUST be used for the purpose stated in the application and acquittal reports with proof of expenditure will be required. 
  • All sporting grants must be applied for one month prior to the event.
  • It is a requirement that all applicants or supporting individuals are financial members of the Hervey Bay RSL & Services Memorial Club before applying for a Community Grant.
  • Applicant must be over 18 at the time of applying. Parents or guardians must apply on behalf of applicants under 18.
  • Supporting documentation, including letters of selection, must be submitted with the grant’s application showing that sporting Individuals have been selected for Wide Bay, Queensland or Australia.
  • Quotes for financial purposes MUST be included to show exact costings equally to the grant amount requested.
  • Successful applicants agree to authorise the Hervey Bay RSL & Services Memorial Club full use of details in regards to the application. Applicants may be requested to appear for photo or video shoots to assist with promotion.
  • Applicants/parents/guardians will be required to sign a donation confirmation highlighting specific grant conditions.
  • The Hervey Bay RSL Donations Committee makes the final decision on all submissions and may alter categories to suit each application. NO further correspondence will be entered into as their decision will be final.

Applicants are advised to save a copy of the application details before sending.

This Application Form must be fully completed and submitted along with any other documentation/quotes or additional information to support the application.

I authorise the release of the information contained herein to the Donations Committee and I authorise the Donations Committee to make further enquiries where necessary. I certify the grant (if received) will be used for the purposes stated above and that an official receipt will be issued to the Hervey Bay RSL & Services Memorial Club. In addition, I agree to the conditions and the terms as outlined in the Application Guidelines.
